Listed them here now with a pretty firm price. As pictured for $3950 each. I have the wire wheels for both bikes. If you want to haggle, we'll talk about swapping out the Lester mags. If they don't sell soon, I'll be listing them on eBay, but not before swapping the wire wheels over on the green 550K.

I could go on and on about what's been done, cleaned, rebuilt, replaced, refreshed, etc., but the short answer is "Yes, I've done that". From petcocks and fuel lines to tires to fork oil to carb rebuilds, etc., etc., etc.

The orange 550F is a survivor; an un-restored original with just under 8K original miles as of this posting. It was on the cover and featured in the VJMC's magazine this year. The Lester mags and 400F bars were installed before it ever left the showroom in 1975. Known history it's entire life. Some minor scratches (very, very minor) on the tank and a ding on the muffler but, again, an ORIGINAL survivor, right down to the correct brown seat cover.

The 550K has new Candy Jade Green paint (as close as I could match, anyway), original seat cover, and even some service records and paperwork from back in the '70's. Lots of polished stuff and upgraded shocks and fork oil (I have the originals). Also has 400F bars. Way above average set of 4-4 pipes with a small crease on the underside of #3. It has about 7,600 miles as of this posting.

Ask any questions and I'll answer honestly. Tons of pics available of just about anything you'd want to see. These are both nice bikes and are pretty much done; no projects here. I think the price is fair for bikes in this condition and mileage. Clean, clear SC titles in my name. I'm in Rock Hill, SC. That's right at the NC/SC border, just south of Charlotte, NC and about an hour north of Columbia, SC.

Price is $3,950 each, as pictured.

Boy, those take me back. A couple of fine survivors.

And, yes, Lester mags were an expen$ive upgrade.

You may want to reinstall the valve covers on that green K, and reshoot pics...

The green 550K is pending. I've had offers on the 550F, but I'm pretty firm at my price. I think a detailed eBay ad with lots and lots of pics could possibly bring MORE than the asking price. I've been watching these models for years. The mileage, story, condition, Lester's, etc.....it's very fairly priced, IMO.

Original tool kit is there, as well as owners manual.

Original decals and warning stickers are still there.

One of the sexiest headers ever (second only to the 400F maybe?)

Tank is spotless inside, as is the entire fuel system. New Honda 5.5mm fuel line, new Honda petcock ($100 for this model), carbs cleaned and synced.

The engine (and entire bike) was detailed just enough to remove any oxidation, grime, surface rust, etc. The objective here was preservation rather than restoration.

That's a NOS cover I'm holding. I polished the other covers to match the same amount of sheen....not overly polished.

The engine is stock except for a Pamco ignition and a UNI filter in the stock air box. I did the full 3,000 mile tune up and it's been religiously maintained since I've owned it.

There are minor scratches on the tank where the P.O.'s father dropped something on it in the garage, and a small dent on the muffler.

Fork oil was changed, the caliper rebuilt (also genuine Honda parts) and braided hoses installed. EBC pads and shoes. Less than 3,000 miles on the tires and they're still like new.
The bike isn't perfect, as it IS a survivor and not a restoration. But it's original, has a known history since new, and presents very, very well. Gets attention everywhere I go. I don't have to sell it. I'm looking for it's next custodian and am hoping to find someone that appreciates it for what it is and will care for it like I have.

Cover story and feature in the Oct./Nov. VJMC magazine.

Man I sold tons of them. Great little bikes was on of my favorite to ride can throw that sucker around and put a pipe on them and they were louder than a 750.
Very cool

I know the bikes are sold, but glad to see someone local to me! I'm always checking the classifieds for an XS650 near me every few weeks so it's good to see activity near Charlotte.
