Are you selling or wanting to find out what it is worth?

Rules state a for sale item has to have a price

$300.00????

Wrong heading and if you only want to find out what it is worth it is not really fair to genuine buyers to post in here if you are only trying to find a value.

You guys forget that every post is in the archives and easy to find through your Avatar.
$300.00

hes new and didnt read through the rules of the classifieds. Just add a price for it and it will all be ok or change your post to make offer

I would feel comfortable saying you should get $1,000 out of it if the market up there is anything like out here.

judging by the crappy cell pic, it looks like a $500 bike around here, IF it's running okay. less if it's not running okay. i mean if i didn't think i could ride it home 25 miles at speed without issue, i wouldn't give you $500 for it.

Where are you located Dorzok? Around here I have seen very few XS650s for sale and actually had an offer of $800 for a 1983 XS650 that has been sitting for 15 years.

Value varies!
If you watch the newspapers, craig's list, ebay, local "shopper type" adds you may find that there is a lack of any low price...under $2500 bikes in your local. What once was a $600 bike is now much more valuable. XS's are starting to be "vintage" (there goes all my cheep project bikes!) as the newest one is nearly 30 years old. That and they make great project bikes as we all know. Add all of these things together and the values are going up. As an example I sold a 1979 XS that had good...not great paint, ran good, good rubber...overall a sound bike last fall for $1400, and the buyer was glad to find the bike and pay the price. (he kept finding junk for $1000) It may be worth finding a good tank and asking for $1500-1800. Remember you can't go up in price, and everyone will want to dicker a bit.

I agree prices have gone up!! but going by the photo $500-$650- MAX!!!! YA don't buy a bike for $1,400-++ that is going to cost you $5G's to fix. But good luck with your
bike. keeping or selling.. TIM

Value varies with perception, location and time. As is always the case, real value is what someone is willing to pay for the item. Twenty years ago here in central ky you could buy just about any 650 for $500. Fifteen years ago you couldn't give one away. Today, you can't find one.
