How's it going guys. Just a quick question. I was going to go a size over on my bore but decided to hold off and I had already ordered gaskets. Is it possible to use these gaskets with a standard bore if I use high temp gasket maker (rtv) along with it? Thanks for any help

No , well , okay it is possible but carbon will collect in the margin between the stock bore and the slightly larger gasket . Problems will likely ensue

never

i've only seen standard or big bore head gaskets. not sure if there is a "1st oversize" head gasket available?

i don't think you would want to use a big bore head gasket on a standard bore cylinder. and i wouldn't use rtv anywhere on this engine if you are referring to the silicone type. you can use a standard bore head gasket on a over sized cylinder but i'm not sure where the threshold lies when you need the big bore gasket. maybe after 4th (1mm)?

i'm sure someone knows better than i...
