Went with a group of guys to the annual gathering today. Group I was with included a beautiful ‘74 R-90 BMW with body panels. ‘82 CB900S ‘84 CX500T and just a great mix of older Sport touring models BMW,Yamaha and Honda. The ride started out overcast with a slight drizzle but moving SW we pulled out of it. We took M-36 though Pinckney and bypassed Hell. (No joke, look it up) unfortunately I have no pics of the route however the small town of Stockbridge is transformed into a Bike Brand Mecca which draws Enthusiasts and groups(clubs) with the different bikes from different era’s parking in different areas around and in the city block downtown square. It’s easy to strike up a conversation with anyone about their machines and I rode Patience which drew quite a bit of attention herself parked in the section for Japanese bikes. I took a lot of cool pics. If you see a bike in particular that draws your interest ask because the ones I took pics of was because I talked to the owner about them. The CBX was built by a guy that supplies some of the best carb kits I’ve ever seen for Honda’s. My buddy swears by them and they include all new screws as well. That was the second mono-shock CBX he’s done and I heard another guy comment he could buy a house for what he had in it. Started, ran and idled down so nice and smooth.the Vincent Rapide in these pics was very cool and the owner, who I believe was in his 90’s, was sitting there talking about it. The side car that was attached was made by Jaguar in the 50’s in England. I asked him why the rear wheel had two sprockets, one un-used. He said so that if you take the side car off you can spin the wheel around for a different size sprocket and you could could actually do it without tools as there was a center stand to raise the wheel. T-handle fasteners tightening the axle and other components and the fender was hinged to get it out of the way. Amazing thought put into that.0CB9A303-F839-4FEB-BF8F-B255E67F7CD5.jpegDA0D29DA-C4A4-4BCB-91D2-47F4D1C04FCF.jpeg
