'79 was 38's, '80 was 34's. Anyone know if the bolt hole spacing is the same or different?

Bolts are the same all years 34's have tin tops 38's have aluminum tops 34's have choke rod you pull out 38's have a choke lever. You aren't desperate go buy a new set from http://www.jbmindustries.com/HOLDERS.html

The carb holders clamping size to the carburetor is different for the BS 38's of 1978 and 79 models. Whereas the 1980 XS650 G and SG was supplied with BS 34's. You need to know which one you have to get the size that fits your carbs. Blue
