So, my buddy and I started the bike up with not too much effort and now have a bit of an issue. It will start up but then the right exhaust pipe starts to smoke about 5" from the engine. The pipes are wrapped if that makes a difference. We took the temperature of both pipes and the right side was was about 120 degrees hotter. It's only run for like 30 seconds before shutting it off. Even at such a short time it gets smokey.

This is the first time I've started an engine so not quite sure what to expect. Could it be as simple as a bit of oil dripped onto the wrapping? I feel like because it's so much hotter there is a separate issue. The spark plugs look fine after taking them out.

I can provide more info about the build if it could help.

Congratulations on getting it running.
The high idle and misfires mean that it's time for the next steps.
Check ignition timing.
Carbs need tuning and syncronizing...
