Thanks to all of your knowledge on these forums I have gotten my '75 Standard back on the road after too many years of sitting. I opted for VM34s with pod filters and was unhappy with the fit (and look) of the stock side covers with the new carbs. Aftermarket options seem to be very limited.
I came up with these replacements to cover the battery/electronics, improve airflow, allow for easier maintenance, and show off those new Mikunis. They require no modification of the frame and use the stock mounts and latches. The covers are water-jet cut 16ga stainless steel. I painted them black and added reproduction decals from Speed and Sport.
I'd like to make a few more if anyone else is interested:
$95 per pair (unpainted stainless)
$115 w/ black powdercoat
