Modified forward controls

I have a couple sets of TC Bros forward controls for a couple different Yamaha XS's. They always seem a bit high for my liking. Has anyone ever tried modifying to change there out of the box location?

Grab some steel plate and get to cutting! New mounts and you can put em where you like. I made mids out of mine...

What is the white material your using?

Plastic, I 3d printed and tested a bunch of configurations for fitment before I made the "final" out of steel. Even so I went through 3 steel versions and I might do a 4th. A couple of little things I can't decide if fixing will cause more issues or not.
