I went with my college student daughter yesterday , in a snowstorm, and brought home her first two wheeled purchase. A 2006 Yamaha Vino 125 cc scooter. Neat little get around campus ride.
She bought it herself. Parking sucks on campus and this will be fun for her. She'll need some practice and a MSF course.:yikes:

Congratulations, Pumps!

Nothing like another addict in the family! That's just how I started---my father and I tracked down a 1959 Lambretta scooter, and it's been two wheels ever since. Good for you and good for your daughter. Lucky girl has a father who will get her going on the right path!:thumbsup:

Scooters are awesome! Especially a 125. How fast does that thing go? 50-55 mph?

I have a 49cc Zuma that'll do about 42 mph.. It's great for buzzing around town when you don't want to warm up a bike. Plus you can fit a 24 pack of bottles where your feet go, or a 12 pack under the seat!

Yamaha makes the best scooters. :bike:

Reportedly from the previous owner (it's been too cold and snowy here for me to try) it will do 65 but really I'm not sure I want to do 65 on it. We'll see when it warms up.
