Hi all, Just returned to XS650 ownership. used to own a 1977 XS650D about 8 years ago she was in mint condition and reluctantly sold her to a pal to finance boat purchase. Contacted new owner and he said he was selling her. I went to view her and what a sorry state having been left in a shed since June 2005. Anyway bought her back and now gathering parts to restore. Tank is rusted badly inside, everything seized other than the motor and she has the jumping out of first gear problem. Obviously tyres need replacing as well and needs new silencers(mufflers). Waiting on delivery of a used tank in French blue from a 1976 so may change side panels to match, not sure will see how good paint is on it. OK will post some pics soon as she is now.
