I'm not completely done troubleshooting, but I'm starting to suspect that the issues I've been having with a reluctant mid-range might have less to do with jetting and tuning and more to do with the physical dynamics of rabbit ear handlebars.
I love these handlebars. Not just how they look, but how easy it is to turn with one hand. That's important because like many custom bikers in my city we use hand signals exclusively.
And while I can't say that the way they handle curves and twisties is sporty, it is ridiculously fun to throw your elbows into each turn.
But I think once I go from Idle to mid-range by twisting my wrist, in order to get to WOT I have to mash my whole arm. Again, well this is neither smooth nor sporty, but I think I could get used to it and end up enjoying it.
Is this something others have dealt with who have gone with rabbit ear handlebars?
