bobbing my xs and was going to put a small pad seat on the fender. The question is should I reinforce the fender to carry the extra weight and if so, how should I do it... Thanks

It depends on what rear fender you have and how you have in mounted. Is it stock? Is the bike hardtailed or does it still have the swingarm? Got pics?

I guess I should have taken that into consideration. I'm going off of his build pics where it appears he is doing a hardtail

I am hardtailing it.... so struts will be fine?? I was already planning on them but wasnt sure if they would be supportive enough.

well it depends on how thick the fender is, how thick your struts are, and how well everything is attached/supported. Just make sure it'll hold about twice the passengers weight and you should be fine.

If your not sure....then over do it. Its better than the alternative ....stuffing the fender in the tire with two people on it. That would hurt.
