hi guys ,,, now don,t get upset ,,,, rossi is great he,s a 10 time world champion ,,,, this week rossi and burgess his team manager and his team are playing with engine parts hoping to get a little more compatiable ducati for rossi ,,, he was 7th on sunday ,,,,,, he was also 2 secs under casey,s lap time on pole so he was never there to start ,,, ,, his contract is up at the end of this season ,,, and honda don,t want him . regards oldbiker

I think he's in deep crap as far as GP is concerned. His saving grace may be that he has a lifetime contract with Nastro Azzuro for sponsorship, and can bring the almighty cash to a deal.
That being said, there is not really room at Yamaha, and he and Lorenzo have history.

The ultimate destination for Rossi next year would be a return to World Superbike, with Rossi in a 1 man show. He was able to out-ride Edwards on essentially his own bike at the Suzuka 8 hour in 2000, the first year Edwards won the title in WSB.

Interesing angle. Superbike Planet reported today an english newspaper said Rossi would retire from racing at the end of the year, as Jeremy Burgess is retiring for reported "personal reasons" Rossi, via twitter, said the report was "baseless".

You know, a WRC car has a lot more square footage to advertise mediocre Italian beer on..........
