Wanted - XS1-XS2 Gas Tank

If it sells for that much, I'm quitting my job and searching for parts full-time. I guess it's his tank to ask whatever he wants...but seems like a waste of time to me to list it that high.

Is the filler/ bondo free or is there a surcharge on top of the grand.

There isnt any bondo on the tank.
There is a small crease dent towards the back of the tank on the red stripe about 1.5 inches.
The bottom inch of inside of the tank has some rusting. Would need de-rusting/liner.

how much for just the hardware to hold the badge on? That's all I'de be buying it for really.

The hardware to hold the badges on it? You mean the 4 little screws? (2 each side)
Just take 4 screws out of your tv or something bro, lol

the plate the screws go into on the sides of the tank is spot welded onto it, not sure what your saying my friend ???

Oh the screw holes for the badge mounts on your tank are stripped out ?
Just glue it.
Hot glue gun w/glue
or JB WELD it.

Or, look on the back of your computer and find the thin metal pc card slot covers.
Use one of those to cut out a new metal strip then screw new screw holes.

I used 2 of those pc card slot covers to fabricate seal plate gaskets for my petcock mount holes when I de-rusted my xs2 tank with phosphoric acid and then acetone.
Worked awesome.
