Done every thing i can for the calender. I requested Travis, (Pm'd), to implement the voting thread based on the 16 Accepted nominations at the time on 11-26-13. There are now over 20 to sort through.

I'm sure that there are probably lots of other owners who would like their bikes in the calendar but it looks like they can't be bothered to respond and post a decent picture of their bikes so perhaps we should go with what we got.

Hey all!

Can't believe it's that time of year already but winter and the new year are quickly approaching us. For a lot of us that means family time, good food, new year resolutions and of course new XS650 Calendars! I got a ton of great feedback from members saying they enjoyed seeing the calendar's on their walls as well as some unique stories behind some of them. So back by popular demand, we will be putting together another XS650.com calendar for 2014!

This year's calendar will be a bit different from last year as far as bikes featured because there wasn't an XSOTM contest this year. This is okay though because we have a chance to add more bikes and pics to this years calendar!

SO... I need your help in getting nominations and figuring out if we should go with more than one bike a month/page to show off more of the bikes that are on the site OR if you liked the format of last year, where there was a main photo and a few detail photos and descriptions of the bikes. There will be 12 months + a bonus month for January 2015 for a total of 13 months! Also, I will also make sure the hole is drilled this year... A few members had a hard time trying to figure out how to get a hole punched through paper

I need to get the order placed the first week in December to have a chance of having them in the first week of January so we have to move!

**First we need nominations** All nominations/nominees must have access to high resolution photos, if at all possible, to ensure a high quality and professional look that all the hard work of the builders deserve. Last year you guys did a great job with getting great photos! Please submit nominations starting... NOW!

If you nave a nominee in mind just comment and attach a photo to this thread and we will compile the nominees and vote on the entries. Last year was the XS650 of the month winners which made it easy. This year will obviously be different without XSOTM contest but we can still make it happen!

Ok here is what is going to happen.........

All nominated and accepted bikes, ( well..... not the bikes the owners), will have to get hold of samoran1.

Discuss with him the requirements of any photographs to be submitted.

The first 13 to submit the required, (right size and quality), photos will have the pleasure of their bike in the 2014 calender.

I, for one, would still like to see a vote for which bikes make it to the final rather than it becoming a race to see who can submit their pics the quickest.

sorry dudes, I don't really have any "photoshoot" type of pictures of the XS but I'll dig up what I can find off my phone and post em! Its winter here now and the motor is sitting on my bench waiting for a bore-out.

take a realistic look at the time frame we have left.

setting up a Voting thread and getting some pics oif the bikes in that, (days at least),

voting for at least 2 weeks.

The required pics from the winners to be submitted. If one of the 12 can't supply pics then more time waiting for another to supply. another 2 weeks or more if original winner can't supply the right pics. Some of the nominated aren't at home all the time, (rig work or whatever, ) and if they are nominated how long do we wait for them???????? More time, what a week

Calendar has to be made, got to be a weeks work there at least and now we are about 5-6 weeks from now. into the holidays so could take longer.

For overseas guys another 10-14 days to be delivered.

That is if all goes well and us overseas guys we are getting a calender in February. If it doesn't then could be closer to March.
