What have you done to your XS today?

Just took it one wire at a time. Got flummoxed over why I could get continuity from the ground to a signal light positive. DOH after taking it apart and checking the wire for cuts abrasions I fingered out the the bulb is the path.....I knew that DOH!! 1 hour gone to a brain fart. And my gray matter seems to have a LOT of gas lately. . . .

some days ago i changed from BR7ES ngk spark plugs to BR8ES ngk spark plugs and noticed that she was not the same. Today i change to B7ES NGK spark plugs and seen to be better more power less noise..

The R stands for resistor. The BR7ES is a resistor plug.
You might want to try a BP7ES, the P stands for Projected tip. The center electrode projects out into the combustion chamber. This gets the spark farther into the chamber.

The number is the heat range with lower numbers being lower heat. An '8' plug will run 70-100 degrees hotter than a '7' (theoretically). That may have accounted for some of the difference also.

I rewired my 81 yesterday, finished right before I went to work, now all my lights, horn, etc work on my battery charger. Nothing excpet tail lights worked before the rewire. This is with me turning the key to the on position only. I have no battery for the thing yet.

Normally i would be more than ready for the start But not this time.

rolled her out of the shed. started her up. fixed an oil leak. started her up again, revving her up a few a smiling. installed the drive chain. backed her up more, drove her 5 feet, then powered her back into the shed. walked in the house smiling.

Front tire had been losing air so I took it to a shop and said "Fix It and no tube" Got it back today and they said they put a new tube in it. They could not find on the mag where it says its rated to run tubeless tires. Hell, it stamped on it!! Didn't want to fight the place. Installed it on the bike and never got to try it out all day. :(

I trashed the wiring harness after getting a brain cramp looking at wiring diagram. I am getting ride of all unnecessary items anyway. wiring from scratch, but I hate electrical!

Thanks NONclow
Well it's sunday morning I didn't get a start yesterday i was to busy with my fixing things around the home and other honeydos.
That being said last night I got the oil in her, and disconnected the charging system from the battery and connected it to a capacitor just incase the charging system spikes don't want to kill the new Pamco ignition.
Going for a start in about 2 hours that's 10am here.
