I'm in the U.S. but I am selling mine,I haven't been able to ride it in a couple years. You can find my add in classifieds or check video on you tube, search whitemountaincustoms
due to spinal injury my bike has been sitting for 2 years and I wont be able to ride it ever again.I have a video on you tube just search whitemountaincustoms since than I rebuilt the engine with the 750 big bore kit and all the performance parts available for the head,I also put a new clutch in...
Welcome to ya John, having more experience with v-twins than the XS myself I can tell you just remember the theory of relativity. If you've been doing your own maintenance and repairs on V-twins you'll be fine, and if you run into any questions you need answered you found the right place for...
I cant see the color very well in the pics but I dig the paint scheme, some times the dust or dirt in the paint comes from us.Use the air hose to give your self a good blow job(yes I know how that sounds)and put some water on the floor of your shop.
I have my rear turn signal lights come on with the brake lights. It's not as simple as wiring your running lights to the turn signal light. You are getting feed back,I forget what it's called but there is a devise that has to be wired into the system. The same company you got the lights from should...
Yes the fullthane is urethane,I like to use this on classic cars that I have had to do a lot of body work on.I found that 2 coats-wet sand-2 coats-wet sand then clear, any scratch's you might have missed while sanding the primer are all taken care of.I have cleared over just about every thing...
While I all ways thought the 2 tier seat was one of the nicer style points of the Special, you did good at 120. for a seat you like, and it looks like you did a nice job with the recover.
Thanks Dirtydog,Dupont is a corporation that has bought out and owns many company's but that's like saying a Rolls is a VW since VW bought Rolls and Bentley.I have used the Dupont chroma series clear with good results.I would have to take a ride to my shop to see which version I have in stock...
Dust specks and things like that are very common,I've seen that even in the down draft spray booth's.Unless you see some thing like a black speck in white it's very typical to continue with the paint work. The cheap clear's do work fine and I have sprayed them.I spent many years painting at a...
I have sprayed a lot nason full thane and yes wet sand with lots of water and 1000 grit. If you get runs you might have to go to 600 grit.I have coverd Nason full thane with both Dupont and Spies Hecker clears with no problem.I have panted many classic cars with Nason full thane and top coat...
It's been so long since mine was stock I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure there is no off selection available.I think on mine the head light didn't come on with the key switched on but lite after starting engine.
That bike looks awesome,it looks like a well planed build with a specific look intended. The tank matches every thing else,I wouldn't change a thing. The bubbling of the paint doesn't come from sitting in a shed, the paint work wasn't done correctly.Just my opinion but I would change the fluids...
No I don't want to sell my chopper,I am getting ready to move and can use the money.I used to work at a custom bike shop and have built and customized many bikes. This chopper wasn't slapped together and hope for the best,it was all planed out and built with a specific end in mind.Except for...
