So anyone else have or ever have gotten the procrastination blues when it comes to their XS? Especially concerning the electronics?!?! Surely I'm not alone on this matter!! I'm procrastinating the shit outta finishing this bastard up due to the wiring. Need a kick in the ass, inspiration or maybe an incentive (other than riding of course)!!!

Hey Jimmy, I feel ya. It's gone down to 22 degrees this morning in NH. Was 70 last Saturday. I am really having a hard time to motivate myself into the garage and polish my clutch cover....probably why I am on this laptop.

Man I guess it wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't already fried 3 pamcos (1 was a shops fault; I think). It's gotten so bad that I'm "spring" cleaning instead and making up stuff that I "have" to do instead. I was blessed with many skills in life, but wiring wasn't one of them... Is your side cover already polished and needs maintenance or a full on polish? Honestly, I'm not sure which would be worse lol. Maintenance = something that can be pushed back easily and full on polish = PITA lol.

Needs the full on polish. 31 years old and ugly. The good news is the alternator side is done. You can see it in the pic. Wiring isn't that bad for me, I'm an auto mechanic. Just take it one wire at a time. BTW, did u see that new black bike from Ardcore? Sweet.

I'm on my phone right now. Since the implementation of the mobile skin I can't view the attachments.

The alt cover is the easy side to polish!

I haven't seen the new ard build... You have a link to pics? (mobile and driving)

Why do you think I started on the alt side. LOL. It's on 650chopper.com. Stop texting and driving! Alright, I,m going to the garage now... Jeez it's cold...

Why didn't you say something!? I'll get that fixed. Let me know if are any other things that don't work in the Mobile skin.

Travis, well it doesn't prohibit me always. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I have time to fool with it I will sit and click it over and over; if I don't have the time I just skip the attachments. And whenever I have the time to write you about it I forget!

Man, I'm ending my spring break and I've barely done anything to my XS......I know what you are talking about. Although today I worked on my buddies VR6; a lot of welding, a little bit of wrenching; it is definitely inspiring me to work on my bike tomorrow =]. Also, my girlfriend got her hands on a nice Canon D40, so build thread pictures are coming!

I have hit a wall on my bike to cause i know wiring is coming up! never did it from scratch, looking at all the diagrams and it is just confusing. gotta figure it out at sometime tho! so im gonna go at it and try.

im just glad i have my other bike to ride......cause its gonna be 70 on wednesday! its about 45 now and raining sooooo maybe i will go work on the bike.....or go fishing! haha

Go for it Jimmy, its never as hard as you thought once you get started. Take your time & gather everything you need, decent wiring, top quality connections and a quality crimping tool.
I completely rewired my Triumph T120R & changed many of the wire colors to suit my eyes ( color blind red/brown :banghead:) took my time & surprised myself with how well the job turned out
