2019 XS650 Calendar Thread - NOMINATIONS

I'd like to get our senior codger, and Rolls-Royce builder of the Concorde, Fredintoon, in here.

Fred, got any hi-res pics?

Alright guys, we're off to a good start with the selection of bikes nominated so far. BUT we are only up to 10 bikes. Attached is a list of bikes I have so far– seconded and accepted. Please let me know if I missed one.

We could 1.) get two more bikes and call it a calendar or 2.) NOMINATE A BUNCH MORE BIKES!

I like #2... Now is your chance to get your nominations for the calendar in. It will be the end of the year before you know it.

Reminder: You can self nominate!

Pete, he (samoran1) only notes Fred has not accepted yet. You might pm Fred.
I'll second girard's self-nomination.

Hi 2many,
thanks for the nomination which I will happily accept.
Alas, that photo is as good as it gets.
BTW here is my photobucket link:-
http://s758.photobucket.com/
You will find a photo of me and the XS650 & orange sidecar taken ~2007
on there, a better quality copy of our wedding photo & feel free to use anything
else on there. Good luck fighting with Photobucket's allegedly improved site,
I've just about given up on it.

Here's a montage of posts concerning picture resolutions, sizes.

The Main image should be at least 3375 x 2625 px at 300 dpi
-Detail shots can be smaller but make sure they are 300 dpi

A full calendar page is 11" wide by 8.5" tall, very close to a 4:3 aspect ratio, which would make the width 3,300 pixels and height 2,550 pixels.

An 8Mp pic in 4:3 format almost meets that criteria.

My pics are 12Mp, about 4,000 x 3,000 pixels.

Actually technically the main photo requires a "bleed" of .125" on each edge so the full size pic should be 8.25 x 11.25" to be safe...

That means that an 8Mp pic in 4:3 format just barely makes it.

To reiterate from the first post, and from previous years:

"You will need to send 3 or 4 high quality photos of your bike with no logos or watermarks (min dimension to be posted later) and your name, location, bike year/model, and SHORT bike bio via email to Shawn."
