Is there an option for me for either syle of seats for this bike???...its a 1980 Special II with the side hinged seat.

The Standard rear hinge will not match up with your Special rear hinge location. You can mod it (build an extended hinge) and I do think the Standard version seat looks better so it is worth doing in my opinion. But, if you like the way the Special seat "V"s down, just go with that then.

Remove your cover, use an electric kitchen knife to trim the foam to any shape you want. Recover. Voila, new custom one of a kind seat.

So I'm just looking around for seat options for my 80 special ii. I noticed it has a piece that I'm pointing to in the pic and was wondering if that could be used for the non side hinge sear? Also the other pic is a cb750 side hinge mold and I was wondering if anyone had seen one similar for the xs650 special ii?

No, that bracket you're pointing to was for the seat prop or stop rod. It kept the seat from opening too far and held it open for you. It's part #19 in this diagram .....

The attachment points for the lift-off seat are totally different and in different spots (2 near the back, one at the front).
