Ok, got an 81 650 that sat for a few years ran when put away. Cleaned and sealed the gas tank, cleaned carbs twice after reading about fuel screw which I removed and recleaned. I did completely take it apart including spring washer and o-ring. Only fired on 1 cylinder ggggary recommended new...

I picked up an 81 special. got it running it sat for a few years. only getting good spark to the right side. switched coil leads to opposite sides and now sparks weak on other side. so my ? is either one of the wires that connect to back of coils directly lead to each plug side or is my problem...

Should the foam air filter be oiled or dry ? There stock air cages with UNI filter foam wrapped

allmost finished my rebuild and think i might have put cylinder studs in upside down :banghead:the rounded end goes up think i put the rounded end down do i have to take this apart or is there not that much difference?

got some real small o-rings with my gasket kit about 1/4" od have no idea where they would go my bike is 78 xs650 special

anyone have a pic of advance unit there are two little washers and 2 circlips my question is do these washers go under arms or on top of arms under circlips also I broke one of the circlips is this available I cannot find a schematic that has part #s

I just got my frame back from powder coater looks great, but the blocks that go on the end of the swingarm in the slot where the axle slides in and the chain adjusters push off are missing. Anyone have a set they are willing to part with?

Bought a set of ebay mirrors, first ride they were moving down and in/out. Has anyone used mikes mirrors as I am looking for a replacement set like his rectangular special ones.

on my 78 650 special I want too replace the rubber it looks like the pin that holds the peg on is peened and would have to be drilled out? if so what can be used to replace it.I want to powder coat the metal part while it is apart. Thanks
