I rode my 35 year old XS650 549 miles yesterday through the gold Country of the Sierra Nevada. Long, long day, but a lot of fun and beautiful scenery. The best thing is the 650 ran perfectly the whole way, never skipped a beat. 15 hours of riding, altitude change of over 4000 ft, the perfect day!

Any of you ever have your speedometer start reading faster than you're going? Mine did recently for some reason. It's stable, and the odometer appears to be correct, but it's approximately 10mph fast at around 60 or 70. I've never seen one do this. Any insight? Thanks, DLD1

My 79 Special to Cafe transformation continues slowly. I just added the tiny turn signals and weighted bar ends to help with vibration. The brake pedal modification is next to be done. Soon the tail/brake light will be replaced with a Cat Eye type. Little by little it's getting there.
