what is the best pma kit to buy

I got my stuff from Hughs before he had the complete kit. Support the guy who struggled to make our bikes more dependable.

What other bikes do you have?

    1956- Panhead, 1970 cb350 chopper, 1972 xs-2, 2 1978 Specials, 1976 H-D sx250, 79 Puch Moped, and my road bike 1997 Vulcan Classic D2

Yes, we know you own a bike!!!

People like that are why it didn't matter anymore to ride my Harley. I went to dependable machines that made me not look like a "H.O.G" member. The Owners Group says it all. Know of a guy that bought one to park in his driveway, doesn't go on rides......

It's gotten out of control. Lets call it XSive.....

I got a deal similar to that back in the mid-ninties, but no 650s. For 200, I got 4 CB350-2, one CB360, one 79 Kaw 400 triple, 2 SL350s, one 125 Suzi. At the time, I was riding my 70 CB350 in a hardtail frame and wanted the extra motors for spares. Sitting along side the skirting of a double...

Can someone explain the difference between negative and positive ground?

My N9 ford tractor has positive ground, but I'm about to replace the 6 volt gen system with a 12 v alternator/coil kit. :)

    Vacum fuel petcck modification? Anyone?

On my 2 78's, I went with 2 manual fuel petcocks from mikesxs and used block-off plates to eliminate the right side petcocks. Of Course now they are currently out of stock. But it sure made it simpler.

    No xs here

The last time I went to Sturgis I took my xs in the back of the truck, halfway through the run up to Belle Fouche and back through Spearfish Canyon to Deadwood, the rotor started shorting out. Now that I have Hugh's set-up/PMA installed, I'm ready to try it again next year. Can't wait.

What is the name of your XS?

the 72 is Yama-Dog the stock 78 SE is Spotty-Dog since it had a red rh side cover at first and bikes black the duo-glide rear section 78 SE is Baby-Dog, the last custom I built in 05 they're all dogs because their bark is louder than their bite, according to my friends.

Removed Side Cover - now clutch whacked?

Yep. One of those things that you don't notice right away, unless you've lost it before, as I did when working on my CB350 in the eighties.
