1975 Charging question

Curious, Did OMP repair your reg/rec under the warranty, or did you pay for the repair? I would just like to know what you get for just less than $150. Also curious about how he handles the next repair or exchange.

He charged me $40 for the first repair. It was my mistake that caused the damage and I'm of the belief that small businesses should be fairly supported, so I think that was more than fair.

This new repair is free, minus shipping and insurance.

His service is very fast, the quality of the part is really nice, and he is very helpful.

If you're connecting this new reg/rec to the original harness plugs, there is a ground wire in the regulator plug coming from the negative inner brush on the stator. That is where the original regulator pulled it's ground from. Plug the new one in like that and you won't have to worry about the ground coming loose or falling off. You won't have to separately ground the unit to the frame somewhere.
