Bonehead Moves!

A couple of Saturdays ago, I spent most of the day working on the newly acquired bike. One of the projects was to remove and replace the sump filter. It was then that I found out that the sump plate had probably never been removed. I had to do quite a bit of beating to get it off.

When it finally dropped, it was good news for me... no extra "bits" were found at the bottom. That made me happy! And the filter was in decent shape... so now I'd have a spare.

So I put it back together and buttoned it up. But then I looked down at the floor and saw three bolts... wondering for a minute what they could be for. I had forgotten to put the filter in!!! LOL (Yes.... I did put in the new filter afterwards! And this "bonehead move" is probably just one example of many I can be credited with!)
