chain tensioner

Those sprocket or skatewheel type chain tensioners, will they eliminate or reduce having to tighten the chain at the axle adjusters?

I'm at the max chain travel on the axles and short of cutting a link out, I'm considering going the tensioner route anyway.

If your chain has stretched enough so you have ran out of adjustment, then you need a new chain and sprockets.
If they are all new then slide the wheel fully forward. and cut the chain as short as you can and still fit around the sprockets. Then adjust from there.
