I am going to assume that it is 12.5 v with the motor off and 12.7 with engine running. As to checking the rect/reg, I believe there is a procedure including picture in the Haynes manual. I doubt if I could post it on this site without breaking a copyright law. If you have the manual try again, and tell me which part of the procedure you are having trouble with.
