Quick, but silly question..

Im having troubles getting my new countershaft seal in. It just doesn't seem to want to pop in. Its well oiled, and I have tried to bang it in but it just wont go..

Any tips?

Bevel the corner, like with the clutch rod. I think I used a wood block and some hammer taps to coax mine in, but I had sealer around it rather than grease. Either is probably ok.

Use the seal installation tips shown here .....

The application of sealer around the seal O.D. serves two purposes. Besides lubing it to ease install like oil would, it has the added benefit of helping to seal the O.D. into the case. Shaving the sharp edge off the seal hole in the case stops it from cutting into the seal O.D. as you press it in.
