Engine Flush

I have my engine out of the frame, does anyone have any recommendations about flushing the engine out? Any engine flush Products, or the best method of flushing?

i used kerosene, if you have the cam cover off you can just poor it right down the cam chain tunnel, leaving the drain plugs out. afterwards put some cheap oil into the engine cycle it over a few times by hand, drain the oil and refill with your preferred quality oil

Thanks for the tip, I have heard alot of guys use kerosene! I will use it then.

Flushing only does a little bit. Many have flushed their engines 3-4 times and still don't get the little bits out. Why do you want to flush it? You can tell a lot from the oil and filters. Getting all those little bits of metal and/or plastic out is good, but what is causing it?

The oil smelled of fuel and there were bits of metal in the secondary oil filter from the kickstarter gear damaging the crankcase somehow.

Normally the metal comes from the cam chain wearing thru the guide and into the metal.
