cheap if you do it yourself

but it all depends on the extent of the engine rebuild. just rings and a hone, or a complete overhaul: cylinders bored and/or new sleeves, new pistons, all new valve train with a re-grind, new cam, bottom end re-freshended, and so on...

you can get a freshly refurbed engine for a $1000.00 after core exchange from one of the vendors that advertises on the forum.

I have been looking lately in Australia for someone to rebuild my engine.
Ive only come out with 1 quote so far and it was for $4000-$5000 completely rebuilt.
no rephase or anything.
I couldnt believe it. I will of course be doing it myself after hearing that quote.

Well if you were here in the States $1000.00 would be a good price.
Do they really get that much over there.
Maybe i should build some and send them to someone to sell for me. Its worth it if i sell 10 because container is about $2700.00
Got me thinking.
