I use compressed air to blow them offf, then a strip of two sided masking tape, same as a golf club grip installation, to hold the new grips in place. Neutralize the adhesive with varsol or something like that, put some varsol in the grip, push the new grips on, or use the air to slide them back on. When it evaporates, they will be stuck pretty good. But will blow off again with air, tape peels of fairly easily.

Just swapped on some cheap waffle grips the other day, it was really easy to get my old ones off.. but only because they were so cracked and dry rotted! Used a splash of iso alcohol inside the new guys and they slid right on

Quick question I am replacing my clutch perch How do I get the handle grip off to do it It's stock 1975
Should I heat it with a hair dryer and rotate carefully ?
If it gets destroyed I can get another I'm sure but maybe it will come off fairly easy ?
It's off a little heat and just started twisting for awhile and off it came
