Love the looped Bird tail....almost went that route.
Don't overlook the Monstercraftsman hardtail either.
I just had one glued up and I'm diggin' it......
Will the 0" stretch you're going for allow for 21" rear rim/tire?

Only XS I've like with the foster tank is Spade's bike.

It is a Hondaka, I used a smiilar tank on an old Shovel I built for a friend. Love the look and reminded me of your drawing.
