Headlight wiring

Hello,

I am wondering if i can wire my headlight on my bobber project so that the light is on with the ignition and then have one on/off switch for high beam? Any advice appreciated.

Take a switched 12v wire (on with the key) and connect it the the center terminal of a SPDT toggle switch. These switches usually have a common center terminal and a left/right terminal. Connect the high beam wire to either the right or left terminal and connect the low beam wire to the remaining terminal. Don't forget to ground the third wire on your light.
