How to remove hub

Hey guys is there a trick to removing the rear hub, do I have to take the tire off

Hi richard,
if you want to re-use the spokes, rim & tire, yes you do.
If you just want the hub outa there, chop through the spokes with a cutting disc on an angle grinder and toss the rest in the garbage.
 
Yep gotta take the tire off or cut the spokes and tire to save time

Mikes has the 16" and an 18", 48 spoke rear rims on sale.

Never could abide throwing good parts away though, (even when they are a bit rough), someones rubbish is always someone else's gold
 
Yes, someone looking to do a powder coated rim and maybe spokes might want that junk, lol.
 
richard, just noticed that in your signature you say two cylinder in your bikes info. All XS650's were two cylinders. If it had more it wouldn't be a XS650, it would be an XJ or something like that.
