cool thanks. they used a honda saber slave. my cable works good but i use to have a v65. always liked the feel of a hyrdraulic clutch. like the look of the honda slave too. its on facebook search yamaha xs650. you'll need permission
In one of my builds http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26302 I had some information on a hydraulic clutch install I did. It operates with one finger and is super smooth. I do like that Honda one though looks sharp. I also like those smaller setups used so you do not need to do as much machining.
Yes that shot sure looks good. I wish I could tell what was done under the slave cylinder. It would nice to know if they had to enlarge the hole in the side cover or if the slave cylinder fit right in. I wonder what the slave cylinder piston diameter is? since the slave cylinder is so thin on the outside of the cover there must be more that extends inside the cover. Very interesting idea. It looks as though they have milled the side cover right by the alternator section but I am sure you could probably do the same kind of spacer arrangement as I use with the Aprilia slave cylinders to minimize the machining needed. If I had one laying around and an extra cover I would definitely give it a thorough examination.
