Ignition and Charging Swap.. Wiring Harness Question??

Ok so I have a 1980 Special and I am going to change out both the charging and ignition system. I plan on riding from here (San Diego) out to places like Denver and Nor Cal so I want my bike to be as reliable as possible.

So down to my question. I am going to be using the Pamco Ultimate High Output system with the advance parts and Hugh's PMA swap. I also need to replace my whole harness because it is trash and I plan on ordering on from Mike's XS but I dont know which to order. Now that I am replacing the TCI Box I dont believe the harness for the 1980 model will work? Also I do plan to run a small battery but no starter. I guess my question is, is there another year harness that will work with this setup?

It's usually easier and much cheaper to just buy some wire and make your own. It's actually pretty easy. There are some wiring schematics floating around here, or if you're feeling froggy you can make that yourself too.
