New to the Xs world

Hello all RdTodd here, I just scored a pair of Xs's (650 n 850 Special) and only have a bill of sale as the owner has been battling Alzheimers for years and on top of that the Vin on the 850 is scratched off from cables rubbing on it, AAA tells me Im SOL. I want to sell the triple n go nuts on the 650, Anyone have any experience with an issue like this? Any info would be greatly appreciated Thanx.
