XS650 Addict
I always get crazy ideas when I'm restoring a bike and I often need to get validation to either condone or turn me away from those ideas
I was thinking about the caster angle of the XS650, which is at 27 degs from vertical.
I'm redoing my front end and have a TX750 rear swing, will be reinforcing the frame etc. as well as other known upgrades all in the name of better handling and stability.
I was thinking whether the XS would benefit from a a larger rake angle so lets say 29 degs? This is what Triumph Bonnies had and what made them very stable bikes (albeit they were much lighter than XS650s).
In this vein what would be the best way of attaining this? Would it be to simply put shorter shocks at the rear or would it really require frame surgery at the head stock?
