I am doing my first overhaul on a xs650 and the rings are stuck. Any suggestions on how to remove them and replace them. I am basically going through the upper end just to be sure everything moves correctly. So with that being said could I just use the one that are stuck, Im guessing that a bad idea, thoughts, comments, questions?

Get a cable tie, slide it through and slide round. You might need to do it a couple of times until you get the hang of it.

Replacing is a gentle slid , one open end in the first groove, then cable tie the rest around and in.

Do not force or bend.

Myowncreation, if you are doing an overhaul you should consider new pistons, rings, and re-bore if the bike hasn't run for a while or when you go in there the cylinders show signs of wear.
