Im about to have one of mine hardtailed this week , the bloke doing it (hes a fulltime custom frame maker) has just told me his jig is set for a 4" stretch which he reckons is pretty much essential(?!)..Im not keen on any stretch , but before I tell him for sure Id like to see any photos you have of completed bikes (or at least with wheels fitted, not bare frames) with a 4" stretch compared to some with less/zero stretch.
Its the bobber look Im after NOT chops.
Thanks

THATS the style I want Punkskalar ! Thanks.
Any 4" stretches out there for compartison?

Thats only 4" ? Strewth! Now thats the look I DONT want ,looks way too long, the tanks too small as well so that exaggerates the 'long' look I s'pose

No that's basically 8" because there's 4 in the backbone behind the engine and 4 in the ass end. There are tons of nice chops out there with 3-5" of stretch.

Travis is right there is some extra room behind the engine I didn't even look at. Well then look from the tail section on. I just remembered that chop had an elswick 4" rear.

Here are a cpl pics of mine with the TCbros hardtail. It's also raked out as well.

Yeah, Punkskalars keeps coming up in Google ! lol
Yep, Im sticking with my original want for a o" stretch, or its no hardtail at all...

He goes by "the-rodster"on the H.A.M.B.

Here is a quick bit about the bike, super sweet build, and was the reason I started to build mine... Stock wheelbase, low, and really cool...

He had a full build thread on the Jockey Journal BEFORE they quit allowing Jap bikes to be posted, and they backtracked and deleted it :banghead:

I had heard that last part. You know you would think they would have just locked the old jap bike threads that they previously allowed and not just straight up deleted them.

Oh well, cool. Thanks man.
