So I've recently purchased an 81' XS650 Special II (those spokes though) which all in all has proven to be a great bike. The engine is rock solid, suspension and carbs are working well enough for a 32 year old bike. The only thing that a danger to myself and others on the road is the throttle;
-It doesn't snap back
-Lots of play
And there is this L bar the threads the throttle cable into the handle bar assembly that jerks up and down (pictures of this to follow) when the throttle is applied
This is the throttle wide open
And closed
