With or without carbs is fine, just indicate whether or not the weight figure includes the carbs or not.
Thank you.
Thank you.

That would be great, thank you.should be gettin mine together this week.I'll try to remember to post the numbers
Dude, time to hit the gym! (haahaa!)A lot!! Been moving mine around. Big bear hug and I would guess 125 lbs
I weighed an 80 with oil and no carbs a few years ago on a digital scale and got 170. I remember that because it weighed 50 lbs more than my xs400 engine.
I remember setting my 78 engine on this dolly rated at 250lbs and it broke it in half when I set it on top lol
I swear I am going to start saying that!"great hairy ned!"
Hey, I caught that too! I just didn't say anything because I thought I was wrong and dog knows I don't need any help looking like an idiot! HaahaaInteresting that Yamaha calls the early BS38s 34mm constant velocity carbs....
Makes sense, seeings how Yamaha went straight for the throats of Triumph, BSA, and Norton with the XS series, and later with the SR series thumpers.I think the great hairy ned is a kind of british 70's thing, great name for an XS650!
Maybe not a deadlift, but I certainly regretted holding 160 pounds at my hips for a few minutesI have always used 163 pounds as the number. A Yamaha ad says an early no electric start is 135 pounds
In any case it's not a bend over and pick it up off the floor engine!
PR deadlift is officially 163lbs then
