Rescued it.
Didja know if you stick a hand cart on the side of an XS650 and strap the bike to it it's pretty easy to tip the cart back and trundle the bike out to the truck n trailer?

Chain a bit stiff
starting removing parts and filling horse chow bags with stuff for garbage pick up. got the bolt cutters out and clipped the cables off on each end.
Motor's stuck evidence of water entry on one cylinder cuz on it's side (ish) no airboxes. Had oil in the crankcase looks OK. ODO shows just under 10K
A bit odd combo, haven't cleaned the label to reveal the year, but parts don't quite add up to all being the same year. No title, natch.
Tires hold air, with chain and front caliper off it rolled off the trailer.
It's a keeper!
First look forks are straight tubes not rusted action smooth. One lower has a good scrape on the side.
Parts coming off, anything salvageable going in the parts bins.
Kinda ashamed to admit I PAID to haul it away...
