Hi guys,

Looking for some advice. Ive recently discovered my XS2 crankcase has some damage that cant be repaired as far as I can tell. So my only option is to buy a new crankcase. Here in Australia its a little trickier and way more expensive than in other parts of the world. So Ive gotta be cautious. I have found one for a decent price though.

My question is, can i use a XS-C (584) crankcase on my XS2 (306)? will the internal parts of the XS2 fit into 584 crankcase?

Thanks for any info guys.

Best of my knowledge, as long as the case halves are a matching set (ID marks behind clutch), all 72-83 case sets are interchangeable.

There *is* a slight difference in the (sharp or rounded) corner where the left casecover meets the case above the sprocket.

Conditional interchangeability with 70-71 cases...
