XS650 Enthusiast
Hey Guys, before i start describing stuff I'd just like to say that this is a stock 650SF front end (1979) to my knowledge, the previous owner was a complete idiot so got knows whats *actually* going on, but i believe it all to be stock 1979 650SF parts.
So the front forks on my xs are being stupid. I've rebuilt the forks with fresh seals and progressive springs, but when install them on the bike well, you can see the pics.
I've gone through previous posts and i've ascertained that my forks aren't bent by A) Visual inspection whilst rebuilding and b) twisting the forks all the way around in the triple trees, the gap does not change and there is know obvious binding.
Following the manual and tightening the axle and then tightening the 2x m8 nuts on the speedo side fork leg leaves the speedo-side axle flush with the fork, which to my understanding is not where it should be sitting. I've got the speedo and top-hat style spacer on the other side as per the microfiche. So currently I'm thinking maybe its my triple trees that are boned?
Anybody experienced this before?
