Does the connector plug for the suzuki fit my plug or would I have to figure out how to wire it? Also where do I get the rotor re-wound?

That stuff is pretty expensive for the old thing I have.

I have a '80 xs650 and charging system and ignition are all bad. I'm thinking of a PMA for charging but if I can get ignition from a points type ignition bike reasonable I would use that.

If all else fails it's probably the clutch basked is worn where the plates contact the slots. If the slots are rough from the plates moving back and forth the plates will not release properly. Some times you can file the basket smooth and make it ok for a while, some times you have to replace...
