Not much of a build thread more of an unveiling I guess. I'm terrible at taking pictures while working, I'll post the few I have and then post the finished bike.

This is the bike shortly after picking it up, the 2.5 hour trip took almost 4 hours thanks to a blizzard. But we were committed to getting it, so we chugged along no accidents made it there and back safe and sound.

Firts mod 07 gsxr front end, thanks to cognito moto and all balls for making it simple.

Top triple tree mounted and drilled for handlebars, lots of careful measuring and grinding aluminum to make them fit. Clamps are leftovers from my first street bike 2014 Honda Grom.

Time to build some pipes that don't hang so low, sorry Hugh loved your pipes but with the new front end being so low they drag. Yeah they look like yo mama pipes but there equal length.

Time for electronics, super simple kick only. Bike was kick only when I bought it, has HHB pm a and sparks capacitor. Everything fits under the seat and only hangs down a little below frame.

Quick de-tab and rattle can paint job. Also you can see the new rear fender/license plate mount.

Same rattle can paint on front wheel, trying to make it less obvious its different than the rear.

Bike going back together after quick re-spray.

Decided to take the rear wheel off for a re-spray as well, and just had to drop the rotor to match the front.

Rear wheel back on, time for wiring!

Rear fender, tail light, license plate light mounted and wired all LED in the back. Headlight is also opt7 LED nice and bright.

Decided to paint the side covers, crusty peeling black wasn't working for me.

All together, brakes bleed, bolts loctited ready to go.

And now the finished beauty shots, all paint is rattle can buy I think it looks good. Lets hear what you guys think.

Hi 2one7,
Nice work.
Rattlecan paint ain't fuelproof, I'd say use a 2-part rattlecan clearcoat on the tank or be real careful when getting gassed up.
The colors ain't what I'd choose, but WTF do I know, eh?

Yeah colors are different but I was going for a vintage looking paint. Just has to last the summer I'll strip it down this fall and do a nice base clear paintjob

2nd, and 3rd test ride went much better than the first. I think I have most of the issues fixed. Runs smoother, only stumbled once or twice at the end of the ride. I'm just going to keep riding it and see what happens.
