The low price raises a warning flag for me. I have never heard of Hagon shocks for $100. I've never heard of YVERKOOP.
Hagon are good shocks. $100 shocks are not better than OE. I'm skeptical of such a deal.

Bad English is a red flag for me. From their site:

We are proud of the quality and consistency of the product and service provided to our customers and we are here to make your online shopping experience excellent. On our online store, there is a great selection. With many years of experience in the direct relationship with the manufacturer's supplier and our customers, we always show our profession so that you can feel better when you shop here.

If I had to guess I would say cheap, Chinese copies...

Thank you very much RC4MAN and 650SKULL>
Where specifically should I look for shocks other than EBAY ?
I am still curious on how to retrofit Triumph T100 second hand shocks on my project. It would be good to have a bit more
insight on bushings for install. I want 340MM>

About that utility 650SKULL so graciously schooled me on, I bookmarked it. We should all take notice that if it something looks fishy,
it usually is. If something looks to good to be true, it usually isn't.
Like the $1500 nice boat on Craigslist....

I was the victim of a fake website scam. We needed a electric garden tiller. It was $80 at Home Depot and this site had it for $60.
I did a search. Bought one with paypal. Something small was shipped by these scam artists via U.S. mail. Something small was mailed to someone in my zip code and an U.S. Mail tracking utility showed a "Delivery Confirmation."

I called the local postmaster and got a little lip service from him, but received no help. Then I went to the home it was supposedly
delivered and the nice family was clueless. ????

The website disappeared. I got the same model at Home Depot.
PAYPAL gave me a full refund. Stand your ground, be patient, and don't give up, PAYPAL may honor their guarantee.

There are other sources for those shocks that you might feel more comfortable with

If you want Triumph take-offs, you need to go to eBay or join a Triumph FB Group or forum. Your KYB shocks might be fine.
To me, it's best to buy new if you're going to replace. Hagon, Ikon, YSS, Progressive Suspension, Bitubo, all good shocks around $500 and less. You can also spend more than twice that.
I would recommend calling Michael Morse at 650 Central as a good option. He can fix you up with Progressive Suspension with the correct springs on them.

I found a very good deal on a set of brand new, open box return on EBay, Ikons. They improved the ride 100%

FWIW, a skilled rider I know and trust, has three XS1100E's. One is Hagon equipped, another with Ikons, and the 3rd with Progressive Suspension. He claims the Hagons are best. He said they are far superior to the Ikons and they're significantly less expensive. I don't hesitate to follow his recommendation myself.

I am currently riding Mississippi roads on OE KYB shocks. They do keep the tire on the road very well. I like the ones on the later bikes that had the reflector on the shroud better than the earlier ones because the springs are more appropriate for the broken and bumpy pavement around here.

I wonder if the US retailer of the Hagon shock are an honest company.

HAGON shocks have an excellent reputation as a 'MADE IN THE UK' Company of quality replacement shocks.
They have been going for many many years; and their products have been used on everything from race bikes to choppers!
They have a product to suit most fitments, and even a custom facility for fat geezers or whippets!

On e bay there is a lot XS 650 . shocks
I have stock rear and bought cheap tire
MAXXIS Close to cheapest one available I am On the second one Now
I will continue buy that if I can find it.
Tire flexes I don't know if it is new technology or what
and suspension does the rest .. Grip is excellent
I cant find any reason buy something else. I like the setup
I would suspect an aftermarket cheap shock .Can be good enough for these bikes
With the right tire and not to sporty riding style.

The front end on the other hand is Worthless.. It is stiff and Bouncing But the handling in terms of direction control is better than if it is soft
When the handling gets worse. All over the road on an curve exit ..

I have an XS650SK (1983). This is not my experience. I get no bounce and the forks suck up the bumps pretty well. The only variation from stock is an increase to the oil level, which stiffens them just before full travel. Maybe new springs are in order for you @Jan_P.

My front forks work really well too but they have been shortened an inch and I am running cut-down Harley springs.
