    Need help reading plugs

Can someone please help me read these plugs and suggest possible jetting options. The engine is a 78 model with BS38 carbs. I don't remember the current jetting or needle settings but plugs look too rich to me. The engine was treated to a new valve job and new rings about 700 miles ago. The...

    Visual Impact kit

Thought I would share some pictures of my Visual Impact kit brat build. Used 12" shocks from a 1978 XS400 to get enough suspension travel. Rear fender is mounted to swing arm. Handmade fender struts combined with sissy bar. Planning to use a king sportster tank to finish the look.

    VR 115 Regulator question

Quick question: Should I see battery voltage on the green wire constantly or does the vr115 regulator only send voltage when the battery voltage drops below a certain level? I currently have the stator removed from the bike while I am waiting to receive a new stock rotor, and so the regulator...

    Charging System Question

I have been restoring a 1978 XS650 and finally have the motor running and sorting out the electrical system. I have the original stator and rotor, but upgraded to the Jeep solid state regulator and built my own rectifier using instructions on this forum. My problem is that I don't get power to...
