Damn, thanks for the tip. Have you used turnouts before? I've heard they can be kind of loud, though those seem longer than the standard slash-cut mufflers I've seen on chopper projects.

That just gives you an excuse to get the rest of bike up to that standard, right? haha

Dang, where were those guys hiding? I've seen some NOS headers, but those things seem almost impossibly clean haha. I might just ship the muffler I got back to Mikes and buy something different. I'm thinking about trying this out...

Solid score. I don't think Mikes carries anything that will fit a 2". In fact, I've only found a handful of mufflers that would fit a 2" exhaust, and they're all fairly expensive.

Yeah... Seems like they're typically 1.5". My guess is that the PO threw on 2-1 headers from a different bike for whatever reason. I'm wondering if I could just slip the muffler I have into the exhaust, rather than slip it on.

Mistakenly purchased 1.5" Commando Muffler from MikesXS when I needed a 2". I'm going to try to return it to Mikes, unless someone has a 2" muffler they'd be willing to trade. Can do trade plus cash for certain mufflers. Let me know.

I definitely agree with that, but surely there must be some modification's/upgrades one could perform to make it more reliable in general.

Yeah. Deals definitely crop up here and there, but I think prices tend to be higher around here just because the riding season is long and it's a big city.
